Easy Coffee Jelly Recipe

If you're tired of your usual way of having your coffee, how about you try this very easy recipe?

Ingredients:

• 1 pack Unflavored Gelatin (For this recipe we used Mr. Gulaman brand)
• 2 tablespoon Instant Coffee (or more if you want a stronger flavor)
• 3/4 cup Sugar
• 1 pack Condensed milk (250 ml)
• 1 pack All-Purpose Cream (250 ml) or Heavy Cream
• 1 1/2 liters Water
  

Instructions:

1. Dissolve the gelatin in 1 1/2 liters of water (according to packaging instructions).
2. Boil until gelatin is fully dissolved
3. Add sugar. Remove from heat.
4. Stir in the instant coffee and let make sure that it is dissolved well.
5. Transfer in a container to. Set aside.
6. When the gelatin sets, cut into cubes or preferred shape.
7. In a a separate container, mix all-purpose cream and condensed milk.
8. Add the gelatin and refrigerate.
9. Serve chilled.

Texture and color                  

Texture of the lotion is soft fine and smooth. It is light on the skin and absorbs quickly. The smell is sweet and nice and not too strong.

This Vaseline lotion claims to leave the skin light and fresh with their 24hour hydrating formula which combines pure aloe plus “Stays 3 (moisturizes the skin’s multilayer)”

The lotion is said to be absorbing quickly on the skin and infuses to moisture to the top, core and the deep down layer of the skin (medically called stratum corneum)

These claims are actually true! It really does moisturize the skin very well and gets absorbed quickly on the skin.

Fight Acne with Quick FX

Acne are infamous for showing up uninvited on our face before a special occasion where a lot of people will be witness to that red ugly pimple.

Quick FX Pimple Eraser is available at Watson's at P50.00 for 10g. According to the label is helps dry up pimples, helps diminish and reduce dark spots due to scarring and helps protect skin against the sun. We tried this product out to see if it is really worth it.

Quick FX has nice consistency, not too thick and easy to apply on the skin. There's only a tiny hint of a sweet scent. It applies easily on the face and light on the skin.

Here are some of the ingredients and their purpose:

Glycolic acid - helps in removing old skin to reveal younger skin underneath. This also helps in evening out skin tone buy exposing healthier skin over dead skin.

Salycilic acid - most commonly used to treat acne and other blemishes like dark spots.

Zinc Oxide - Has an antiinflammatory property (an acne is most often an inflammatory reaction) 

Vitamin C - whitening effect on the skin

Niacinamide- Known to lighten dark spots

After applying this product on a swollen acne, there is noticeable decrease in the acne redness and size overnight. We can say that Quick FX is effective against acne and we strongly recommend this product.

 However, try to avoid using this product when you will be exposed to the sun because it has no or little sun blocking effect, 

I suggest to use this product at night or when you just plan to stay indoors. Here's the rundown of our review:

This product is not so thick and has a nice coconut smell. I recommend this product is you are looking for a lotion that will really moisturize your skin. It comes in a big packaging and can lasts you for months! Unlike any other lotions, this does not whiten skin so that could be a catch if you are into skin whitening,

Cheap Finds! Pond's White Beauty Detox Review

Acne marks are so stubborn and they can remain in your skin for a long (very long) time. We tried this cream to check if we can finally say goodbye to those marks.

Pond’s White Beauty detox Spotless White Cream is moisturizer that according to the back label,is formulated to give our skin up to 50% whiter and illuminated skin with fewer dark spots and acne marks. This is a 10g tube.

Ingredients: contains vitamins B3, B6, C and E that helps fight skin darkening together. This product also boasts of its triple sunscreen that promises to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays from the sun.

Application: Apply every morning after washing your face but don’t stay too long under the sun.

It has a thick consistency, a bit sticky and a little heavy on the skin. The scent is mild and typical of other Pond’s product.

We used this product for two months and we noticed that our dark spots did lighten up but not completely disappeared.  Acne marks are very difficult to treat and we recommend this product is you are very patient to wait for its full results.

Cheap Finds! Pond's White Beauty Review

If you're looking for something cheap but great on skin, this is the product for you.

New Pond's White Beauty Translucent Pinkish White Glow (very long name, I know) is available at P10.00 for a 7g sachet. 

It has nice slightly thick consistency and mild sweet scent. It sticks on the face well and even outs smoothly. It gives the face powder like finish upon drying up. It does feel a little sticky though when you get sweaty.

After two weeks of using this product we noticed that it makes the skin lighter and pinkish! It is a great product for daily use especially if you're not the type who likes to put on make up everyday. It didn't cause any break outs, too!

Here are some of the ingredients:

Benzoic acid = helps fights pimples

Niacinamide = helps lightens skin

Saffron = known to lighten skin

Korean Ginseng = brightens skin and makes it appear younger

          The back label says to use it every morning after cleansing your skin but it also warns about not staying too long in the sun because it has no sun blocking effects. So be careful when you stay out in the sun using this product. 

          This product is also a good base for make up. Aside from that it is very convenient to use. We recommend this product as a daily morning base or cream. Here's the rundown of our review:

Why Your Underarm Should Love Avon Feelin' Fresh 4 in 1 Whitening

Okay, let's admit it, we get conscious of our kili-kili especially if it's dark and sweaty (and sometimes smelly. Ewww) 

There are many great antiperspirants and/or deodorants in the market but most of them darkens underarm skin. Avon Feelin Fresh 4 in Whitening promises to do the opposite. It claims to whiten the underarm skin and in this variant, it says it has the added benefits of hair minimizing,

Avon Feelin Fresh 4 in 1 Whitening comes in a 60g squeeze tube and has a very mild sweet scent. The only problem for me is that since it comes in tube form, you have to use your fingers to apply it on your underarm instead of the usual roll-on, that could be a small hassle especially if you need to use your fingers again for applying facial products afterwards.

It has a slightly thick consistency which coats your underarm well, it dries quite fast too. You just need to apply a small amount for each underarm.

This fruity floral scented deodorant cream is infused with SSS Smoothing Complex that visibly reduces the appearance of hair to lessen frequent shaving. Formulated with Dry Pore Technology and Avon Patented Ingredient - TDPA, it provides 24-Hours protection against underarm odor and helps whiten skin.

Here are some of the ingredients among others:

Aluminium chlorohydrate - the anti sweat ingredient
Glyceryl stearate - emulsifier
Isopropyl palmitate - thickening agent and emollient

Okay, so I will admit that I absolutely love this product because it delivers what it promises which are:

3 Uses of Nivea Creme That You Should Know

Nivea Creme is a household name in the Philippine skincare product line as a moisturizer but we'll give you three more reasons to love it.

First, short history lesson.

The Nivea brand has been existing for a long time already, it was founded on March 28, 1882, just to prove my point. Their moisturizer product has been around so much (1911) that many people have been loyal to it. 

End of history lesson. Now let's get started!

1.Make-up Remover 

  After a very long day, you should not keep your make up stuck on your face! Many people have said that Nivea Creme removes make up very well.  It rids the face off your make up with the added benefit of moisturizing it. Just be more careful around your eye areas as it might be a little irritating if it gets in direct contact. 

2.Lip Gloss  

Now this might come as a surprise but it actually does work! All you need to do is to just take a small amount of Nivea Creme and dab it lightly on your lips as an emergency lip gloss for those dry lips on yours and voila, you're ready to go ahead and smile (or kiss).

3.Hair Mask 

Last of the list is a bigger surprise than #2! Apply a small amount of Nivea Creme on your post shower hair as a substitute to your usual conditioner. Leave a thin film of Nivea Creme and your hair will be instantly moisturized. 

So there you go! Just remember to use this product moderately around delicate areas likes the mouth and the eyes and then you'll have an emergency go-to product. Nivea Creme is a very versatile product and still remains to be as a great time tested facial moisturizer.

Pond's Acne Clear AntiAcne Facial Foam Review

Don't we all hate pimples? Now this facial wash promises to clear your face of those red perky zits by working from the inside of your skin. Sounds promising! So I tried it for a month to see if it does work. 

Pond's Acne Clear AntiAcne facial foam costs about P85.00 for a 60g tube. It is affordable and is even available on small sachets for P7.00! It boasts of its "unique Lock + Clear Technology" that "targets acne at the root"

The scent is a little minty or maybe something that reminds me of green tea. The consistency is not so good and it lathers well. I used this product for twice a day, everyday for two weeks and here's what I noticed: 

Well to start off, I have to small pimples on my right cheek and it didn't even got smaller. Also, my face got a little bit drier than usual. In all fairness, it does clean your face well but in my case, I had tiny breakouts! 

People reacts differently to different product but unfortunately, this product is not good for me. I suggest buying the small sachet and trying it our first. Be careful though, I've warned you *wink*
